Living It Up in Dallas

Dallas, Texas is the third largest city in Texas, but the metropolitan area represents the largest metro area in the South. As such, the sites and different Dallas events make it a prime tourist destination and for most tours Dallas is centrally located for easy access.

Depending on your interests, there are Dallas events for anyone. From fine cuisine tastings to celebrations at amusement parks and visits to museums, Dallas tours can feature it all. Whether you visit for a ballgame or come looking for shopping, you can tour Dallas again and again.

One of the first stops for any of the historical tours Dallas has to include the Texas School Book Depository building where the Sixth Floor Museum is located. This is the site where Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that took John F. Kennedys life in 1963. Other historic tours Dallas touch on the architecture and sites, or even the lives of Bonnie and Clyde who spent time in the Dallas area.

For the sports minded, you may want to check out the home fields and courts of the big 4 professional teams in the Dallas area. Depending on the time of year you may be able to catch a game and enjoy a beer and a hotdog with the locals. In addition to the pro teams, the Dallas area features several Division 1 schools and their games too.

For the foodies, you cannot have tours Dallas without stopping in for some local Tex Mex, the Texan version of Mexican food. Some of the best Tex Mex restaurants can be found in the greater Dallas area, and you might even discover a little “hole in the wall” that the locals frequent. Also, be sure to pair your meals with a frozen Margarita to get a taste of Dallas.
