Police Looking for Suspect In Pharmacy Robbery Caught On Camera
As is the unfortunate norm in recent years, another instance of criminal activity struck the Detroit metropolitan-area last Saturday. According to ClickonDetroit.com, Dearborn police are asking for help looking for the perpetrator of an armed robbery that occurred at a pharmacy.
“Our number one priority is citizen safety. We will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator is identified and brought to justice. We are urging the public to assist us in identifying this dangerous individual,” said Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad.
According to police, the suspect burst into the pharmacy, which they left unnamed, and threatened employees with a gun. Police report that the man then proceeded to rob the place of merchandise and cash.
The one positive part of this story is that they were able to capture video footage of the suspect through cameras setup throughout the establishment, which they have released to the public. Although the video and still shots are a far cry from the quality you now see in high speed cameras, which can take pictures with shutter speeds as fast as 1/8000th of a second, they do offer a reasonably identifiable picture of the suspect.
The Dearborn police provided the following description of the suspect: black and in his twenties, with a slim physical build and tattoos down his right arm. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt rolled up, khaki cargo shorts, sunglasses, and a blue baseball hat at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information about the suspect or incident in general is asked to call Dearborn police’s tip line at 313-943-3030, or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAKUP.
